The contract shows the wrong rate

Short answer

Compare the contract with the final negotiated terms before anyone signs.

Check the mismatch

  1. Check the rate, currency, units, work, and rights.
  2. Compare each value with the latest agreed response.
  3. Have the deal owner correct the draft.
  4. Review the whole agreement again.

For an agreement already sent or signed, pause and ask the deal owner or legal reviewer how to correct it. Do not assume a template value is the negotiated rate.
