Can I edit a contract template that’s already been used?

Short answer

Editing a template changes the starting point for new contracts. It does not update contracts already created from it.

Edit the template

  1. Open Contract Templates and choose the template to manage.
  2. Make the required changes.
  3. Select Save.
  4. Review the next contract created from the template before finalizing it.

Existing contracts

Review an existing contract separately. Check its status before attempting a change, and involve the deal owner or legal reviewer if it has already been sent or signed. Do not assume a template edit changes an agreement already in use.
