How does signing order work?

Short answer

A contract may use team-first, counterparty-first, or simultaneous signing, depending on its setup.

Check the order

  1. Review the signing order on the contract.
  2. Confirm the designated people and their email addresses.
  3. Open the signing step when it is your turn.
  4. Check the contract status after signing.

With ordered signing, another person may need to finish first. With simultaneous signing, both parties can be eligible. Do not assume a particular provider email will arrive; use the contract’s current signing path.
